Getting Started & Appointments
No. Most people choose to contact us directly to self-refer. You are welcome to get in touch whether you are seeking individual psychological therapy, AuDHD support, a neuropsychological consultation, or a specialist service.
Note: Some solicitors, case managers, or private healthcare insurers may have their own formal referral processes, so please check your policy or get in touch if you are unsure. You are welcome to request a free, 15-minute introductory phone call to ask initial questions and see if our practice feels like the right fit for you.
Your initial consultation is a collaborative opportunity for us to understand what has brought you to Recall Psychology and what you hope to achieve. We will explore your current difficulties, relevant background, and any questions you may have before discussing together how we might work together effectively.
Therapy Sessions: 50 minutes.
Assessments & Specialist Consultations: Duration varies depending on the nature and complexity of the work. We will always discuss session length and structure with you in advance.

Therapy sessions are paid in advance of your appointment to reserve your session time. Payment is made via bank transfer or PayPal. Full payment arrangements will be explained clearly when your appointment is confirmed.
Appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice can be rearranged without charge. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are charged in full, as that time slot has been reserved exclusively for you.
About Our Services
There is no set number of sessions. Some people attend for a short period to work through a specific life transition or sleep difficulty, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore complex experiences, chronic illness, or trauma. We review your progress regularly together to ensure therapy remains helpful and meaningful.
You do not need to figure this out on your own. Rather than offering a rigid, one-size-fits-all model, we develop an individual psychological formulation and draw on evidence-based therapies—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR, and CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I)—depending on your unique needs.
No. Recall Psychology does not currently provide formal diagnostic assessment reports for ADHD or autism.
However, we provide specialist neurodivergent-affirming therapy, AuDHD coaching, and executive functioning support. We are also very happy to talk through diagnostic pathways and signpost you to trusted, high-quality assessment providers if you wish to pursue a formal report.
Yes, where appropriate. Partners, family members, or carers can be involved in consultations where it supports your therapeutic goals. We will discuss this with you in advance to ensure it aligns with your care plan.
Confidentiality, Privacy & AI Policy
Yes. Everything discussed during your sessions is treated confidentially. There are a small number of exceptional circumstances where we have a professional or legal duty to share information—such as where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, safeguarding concerns, or a court order. Wherever possible, we will discuss this with you before taking any action.
It is generally considered good clinical practice for your GP to be aware that you are receiving psychological support. We usually recommend that you inform your GP directly if you feel comfortable doing so. We will discuss this with you during your initial consultation and will not share information with your GP without your consent, unless legal or safeguarding requirements apply.
